Title Position Reports To: Director of Transfer Admissions

JOB SUMMARY:
Serve as the primary recruiter of prospective freshmen, transfer, graduate and international students to Adelphi University.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Recruit freshmen, transfer, graduate and international students to Adelphi University.
Interview prospective students and meet with their families.
Evaluate completed freshman and transfer application folders for decision.
Cultivate prospects via tele-counseling, social media and email.
Represent Adelphi at high school visitations and college fairs in assigned territories.
Act as liaison with departments of assigned special programs.
Build relationships with guidance counselors and other university partners.
Become an active member of relevant professional organizations.
Delivery of small and large information sessions and workshops to various audiences.
Assist with various admissions tasks as directed by the Office of University Admissions.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Ability to be organized and pay attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize workload according to volume, urgency, etc.
Ability to work long hours and weekends.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong critical thinking and data analysis skills
Strong public speaking abilities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to drive or travel to locations in recruiting area(s).
Ability to work long hours and weekends.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree required, plus 1-2 years related experience preferred.
