POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Plasma Science and Fusion Center, to join the Waves and Beams Division. Will conduct experimental and theoretical research as a participant in a pioneering research program on novel, coherent terahertz sources, high power microwaves, gyrotrons, and accelerator physics. Research includes novel terahertz vacuum electron devices, terahertz gyrotrons for spectroscopy, high gradient accelerator research, photonic crystal and metamaterial research, high power microwave sources, high power and high frequency gyrotrons for plasma heating, and instrumentation for dynamic nuclear polarization NMR. The Plasma Science and Fusion Center offers a diverse program of research in all areas of plasma science and fusion energy research. Will be expected to make original research contributions to the research program, produce work for publication, and present work at scientific conferences.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: a doctorate in physics or electrical or nuclear engineering. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in experimental research in vacuum electronics or experimental accelerator physics. Must display outstanding scientific research ability, excellent communication skills, and the willingness to work as part of a large team alongside undergraduate and graduate students and project scientists.
