Job Summary

We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Coordinator - Residential Life


Position is responsible for a residence hall of 250 to 400 students and residential life projects, including promoting a desirable living environment through effective communications with students, staff and other departments as well as project and activities. Position advises, counsels and educates students within the residential life setting, and is responsible for enforcing university and residence hall policies and regulations. Position oversees student employees, including selecting, training, supervising and evaluating student employees performing work in the residence halls. This position collaborates with a number of other departments on campus and some travel may be required.

Conditions of Employment

This position is 100%, 12 month, live-in position. In addition to base salary, position includes apartment with utilities, cable TV, and internet.


The individual will live on campus; have week day and weekend on call duties, supervision of staff and administration of the building, other duties as assigned.


This position, during the course of university employment, will be involved in the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults, or children under the age of 18, and will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value. Successful applicant will be required to pass a background check.


This position is part of the PSE bargaining unit.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (start date)



  • A minimum of one year of Student Affairs experience in a higher education environment.



  • Candidates must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Counseling, College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration or related field



  • Experience supervising live-in student staff in a residence hall



  • Two years of residential life experience.



  • Experience with academic success programming



  • Experience working with historically under served student populations



  • Bilingual
