Working Title HR Consultant Assistant 1

Job Summary

Eastern Washington University is currently seeking a Human Resources Consultant Assistant 1. The primary function of this position is to provide HR support for Human Resource Services by processing and inputting employee and payroll information into the Banner and People Admin systems; providing front office customer service and recruitment assistance. This position is also responsible for customer service. This position will share responsibilities for these functions with the other HR Consultant Assistant 1.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Three years of office experience including at least six months of experience in a human resources or related setting.

  • Experience performing a high volume of data entry.

  • Experience providing customer service and being the first point of contact.

  • Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity..




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using a human resources information system such as Banner.

  • AA degree or equivalent
