Adelphi University invites applications for a renewable 2 year term Visiting Professor position (open rank) in School Psychology, beginning Fall 2018. The position will involve: 1) teaching in the School Psychology M.A. and newly developed PsyD. Programs, 2) potential research/scholarship in a substantive area related to school psychology, 3) student mentoring and advisement, 4) supervision of doctoral research, and 5) departmental service.

Qualified candidates will possess a doctoral degree in School Psychology, demonstrated skill in higher education teaching (preferably at the graduate level), potential scholarship in their area of specialization, excellence in written/oral communication skills, and a strong commitment to preparing students to serve diverse children, families, schools, and communities. Identification as a school psychologist and practical experience in the field are highly valued. Priority will be given to individuals with expertise/scholarly contributions in the areas of psychoeducational assessment, instructional assessment, and/or neuropsychological evaluation. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have experience with these areas from a multi-cultural perspective.
