Position Summary:
University Relations is seeking an Interaction Designer to join our multidisciplinary team to craft digital experiences for our various audiences, from prospective and current students to alumni and industry partners. Projects run the gamut from websites and editorial stories to mobile applications and email marketing. As a critical member of the Design and Digital Strategy team, the Interaction Designer works closely with colleagues to deliver beautiful design and storytelling solutions.
The Creative Studio, composed of the Design and Digital Strategy team (graphic designers and web developers) and the Content Strategy team (editors/writers, photographers, mobile journalists, and video producers), is situated in University Relations within the Advancement division. The studio's efforts are strategically aligned to support university-level priorities.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in design, visual communication, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or equivalent work experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and use of UX best practices and strategies.
Professional experience in digital graphic design, advertising, communications, photography or video production; in an in-house agency or educational setting, or a related setting, or equivalent experience in an academic environment.
Demonstrated experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat).
Strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in design, visual communication, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or related field.
Front-end coding experience, with skills in HTML , CSS , and JavaScript (jQuery).
Experience with Agile project workflow.
Knowledge of prototyping tools such as Adobe XD or Sketch.
Experience collaborating with freelance teams and overseeing work both internally and externally.
