Summary of Position Ferris State University places excellence in teaching as its first priority while encouraging involvement in scholarly activity and service. To this end the Architecture and Facility Management ( ATFM ) Department invites applicants for a 9-month tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The position reports to the Director of the School of Built Environment and works with the ATFM Program Coordinator and faculty in helping to deliver the Facility Management program and in performing required duties. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining, enhancing, and delivering the IFMA Accredited BS in Facility Management curriculum with the potential of participating in the development and delivery of coursework within the AAS in Architectural Technology and BS in Architecture and Sustainability programs, as well as a potential new degree, a Bachelor of Architecture. The successful candidate will also be the dedicated Facility Management faculty member in activities related to IFMA Foundation Accreditation, coordination of internships and graduate opportunities, and outreach to industry and alumni.

Required Qualifications
Required Education A Master's degree in Facility Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree in Business Administration will be considered if the candidate possesses a baccalaureate degree in Facility Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
Required Work Experience Five years professional practice experience in facility management.
Required Licenses and Certifications
Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered
Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered IFMA CFM credential or equivalent.
Higher education teaching experience in Facility Management or a related
profession.
Architect or Professional Engineer licensure or eligibility in the USA or Canada.
Experience with FM related software.
Experience implementing Lifecycle BIM and BIM FM in a facility and asset management setting.
LEED or similar sustainability accreditation.
