Job Summary

Eastern Washington University is currently recruiting for a highly skilled and team oriented Administrative Assistant 3 to work in the President's Office. This position serves as administrative support to the Chief of Staff. The position independently plans, organizes and prioritizes work, and serves as the lead for a variety of complex projects.
The successful candidate will represent the President's Office with professionalism by creating a friendly and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff and constituencies.

Physical DemandsRequired Qualifications:

  • High School graduation or GED
    AND

  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting or general administrative work.



  • Demonstrated ability to compose correspondence and to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    Strong computer skills to include MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.) MS Outlook, One Note and Share Point.



  • Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • AA degree or equivalent

  • Experience working in a state institution of higher learning.

  • Two additional years of relevant office experience, such as experience working in the office of an executive or chief administrator.

  • Budget management experience
