Description/Job Summary
Overview: Under the direction of the CPAM Project Manager, this position ensures that all CPAM Grant participants successfully transition into integrated competitive employment or continued education.
Responsibilities/Duties
Essential Functions:
  1. Work with participants to identify internship and employment opportunities
  2. Coordinate with employers to ensure support of participants
  3. Provide coaching, feedback and counseling when necessary
  4. Establish and maintain effective working partnerships
  5. Coordinate services with relevant college department and community agencies
  6. Assist students with career research planning
  7. Present and coordinate workshops on resume writing, interviewing skills, and other related topics as it pertains to getting a job
  8. Expand network of employers and business organizations in targeted career pathway industry sectors
  9. Maintain all documents and files in established databases
  10. Assemble and update navigator program resources
  11. Track and report student's participation in group and individual sessions

Required Qualifications
Position-Specific Requirements:
  • Reliable transportation required
Minimum Education and Training Requirements:
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Two to three years' experience in Career Development and workforce placement
  • Proven track record of successful career placements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Ability to write clearly and effectively
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Good listening skills; ability to make tough decisions; detail-focused; comfortable speaking with others; able to be a clear communicator
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Complies with all college policies and procedures as well as pertinent State and Federal regulations
