The Department of Foreign Languages (http://www.una.edu/foreign-languages/) at the University of North Alabama invites applications for two tenure-track appointments at the Assistant Professor rank to begin August 2018. PhD preferred, ABD considered. Well-qualified applicants are invited to apply to the following:

1. Generalist in Spanish with research field open. The successful candidate will teach courses in literature, linguistics, and business in Spanish at all levels.
2. Generalist in Spanish and French or Spanish and German with the ability to teach courses at all levels.

Commitment to teaching excellence and scholarship are expected. Online teaching experience is a must. Native or near-native language abilities in Spanish and English required as evidenced by an OPI rating of superior. For the second position applicants must also demonstrate an OPI rating of superior in either French or German; college teaching experience; integration of current educational technologies into instruction are expected, as are collegiality and active participation in advising and committee tasks. Course load is 12 hours (4 courses) per semester. Review of applications begins immediately.
