The University of North Alabama invites applications for a three-year Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor position in the Department of Communications. The position will teach four undergraduate courses per semester in both the Radio-TV & Interactive Media sequence and the Journalism: Multimedia sequence. Courses may include Communication in a Global Age, TV Production and Performance, Broadcast News Writing, and Advanced Radio-Television Production. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in television news production and a record of teaching excellence. Experience with online teaching is a plus. The position will begin August 2018 and will be subject to annual reviews to determine re-employment during the three-year appointment. Successful candidates for the Visiting Assistant Professor position must have a Ph.D. in Mass Communication or a related field. Successful candidates for the Visiting Instructor position must have a Master’s degree in Mass Communication or a related field.
