Postdoctoral Associate, MIT Portugal Program

Working at MIT offers opportunities, an environment, a culture - and benefits - that just aren't found together anywhere else. If you're curious, motivated, want to be part of a unique community, and help shape the future - then take a look at this opportunity.

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, MIT Portugal Program (MPP), to conduct research that focuses on the development and application of methodologies to measure the societal impact of large-scale international academic programs that aim to build and promote research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in a sponsor country whose academic institutions, foundations, and governmental agencies have formed an alliance with MIT. A key objective will be to identify evidence-based metrics that enable the assessment of the influence of these collaborations on the international competitiveness of the sponsor country, e.g., the performance of research, education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development within the broader societal context. Subsequently, these assessment approaches should be applied to the MIT Portugal Program, e.g., by performing in-depth case studies focusing on a subset of outcomes, with the ultimate goal of conducting a comprehensive impact analysis of the entire program. Will work closely with the MIT Portugal Program (MPP) team at MIT, including the director of MPP and the director of research, as well as the MPP office in Portugal.
