Visual Communications Specialist- Dining Services

Position Summary:
Provides daily support to Dining Services - informational, branding, promotional, and social media goals by coordinating and carrying out photographic and video assignments on location, or in a studio setting, along with accompanying social media communication. Provide professional quality photography, video, and consultation to fulfill the division's visual messaging needs as a strong representative of the Student Affairs Dining Services' team.

Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of digital photography, photographic techniques, and professional quality standards. Demonstrated skill in the operation and maintenance of cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, and other photographic and video equipment. Demonstrated talent for visual communication. Social media savvy and experience producing content for popular social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. Professionalism and strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to use them with a diverse group of people in a friendly and courteous manner. Time management skills, flexibility, and ability to work independently, prioritizing work assignments with strong follow through to meet department and clients' deadlines. Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy. Demonstrated ability to operate within a creative environment. Must demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects at once. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Lightroom. Link to existing portfolio required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience producing social media content for business or non-profits. Experience with Adobe Audition and digital asset management systems.
