Upper Cumberland Completion Advisor- Cookeville/LivingstonPosition Summary: The Completion Advisor will provide direct services to students in support of the College's efforts to increase student persistence, retention, and certificate/degree completion. This individual will be trained in retention-related counseling for life, education, and career goals. In addition, these advisors will be involved in proactive outreach such as analyzing Early Alert warnings, falling GPAs, and performance in gateway courses.

Duties and Responsibilities: Academic advising. Career counseling. Crisis Intervention. Providing and promoting information through presentations at various sites. Assist with articulation issues between the College and other area regionally-accredited institutions. Assist with social media efforts. Supporting student success initiatives. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Masters degree. One year of academic advising experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Banner.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Work Characteristics: Proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Exceptional customer relations skills. Capable of handling multiple projects. Evidence of working positively and effectively with a diverse population. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay Rate: 36,650.00 - 44,436.00 annual salary depending on experience
