Summary of Position The College is seeking qualified candidates for a tenure-track, 12-month position as Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The College of Pharmacy is launching a brand new integrated curriculum in Fall 2018 and is recruiting teacher-scholars with enthusiasm for team-teaching in an integrated curriculum. The College seeks candidates with a strong commitment to student-centered education to teach pharmacokinetics and drug delivery coursework. The candidate will also be expected to conduct scholarly activities, broadly-defined, and to participate in the service mission of the University and the College. The College is eagerly recruiting a candidate who will complement and deepen existing expertise within the department and exemplify the teacher-scholar model.

Required Qualifications

Required Education Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics, Drug Delivery, Industrial Pharmacy, or Pharmaceutical Sciences with emphasis in a related field. Degree must be completed by date of appointment.

Required Work Experience Evidence of research/scholarship related to area of specialty.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered Pharmacy practice degree (Pharm.D./B.S./B.Pharm.).
Postdoctoral experience.
Licensure as a pharmacist.
Academic pharmacy or medical experience.
Strong evidence of a commitment to teaching in an area related to pharmacokinetics/pharmaceutics.
Demonstration of innovative teaching methodologies.
Evidence of teaching in an integrated pharmacy curriculum.
Display an interest in developing innovative pedagogies in a team-teaching curriculum.
