Annual Fund Giving Coordinator

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director of Development and External Engagement, the Annual Fund Giving Coordinator for Virginia Tech Athletic Fund ( VTAF ) will assist the Assistant Athletic Director of Development and External Engagement in carrying out designated duties and responsibilities for the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund Annual Giving Program. This highly motivated professional will be involved with the planning and implementation of the VTAF annual giving fundraising efforts in support of intercollegiate athletics. Primary responsibilities require intense focus on building relationships through one-on-one visits and on-going communication with assigned prospects and donors to develop giving strategies, and solicit, close, and renew annual gifts and donor membership.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and experience or Master's degree .
Demonstrated experience in athletic fundraising, athletic marketing, alumni relations, or related fields.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of fundraising practices and principles.
Demonstrated strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite Office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or related environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills to relate to and establish relationships with donors, volunteers and colleagues.
Self-motivated with ability to set strategic goals while implementing fundraising principles and tactics.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference given to candidates with a master's degree in sports management or related fields.
Experience working in athletic annual giving or related field.
Experience in athletic higher education.
Preference given to candidates possessing an understanding of donor/ticketing/constituent database systems and the ability to analyze data, extract conclusions, and use findings to implement plans.
