POSITION:
POSITION TITLE & DESCRIPTION: LECTURER OPENINGS IN ENGLISH: The Department
of English invites applications for multiple, on-going, Lecturer appointments. Lecturers appointed to
these positions will teach primarily in the areas of composition and critical thinking. Well-qualified
lecturers with suitable preparation and interest will be considered for available literature and/or
humanities courses. This position is contingent upon availability of authorized funding.

MINIMUM
Qualifications:

M.A. in English or related field is required. Other minimum qualifications include: community college
or university-level teaching experience.

PREFERRED
Qualifications:

Ph.D. in English or related field. Other preferred qualifications include: evidence of successful
methods and effective teaching in composition and critical thinking courses; evidence of effective
teaching in literature or humanities courses.

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CLEARANCE NOTICE
The university requires a criminal background check to be completed for all of its new employees, current employees seeking
promotional or transfer opportunities, and current employees assigned new duties. Necessary background investigations will be
conducted, as required, depending upon the job requirements of position. These could include, but are not limited to, employment
verification, education verification, reference checks, and criminal records checks via processing of fingerprints through the
