Biology Adjunct Teaching Faculty

RANK AND SALARY: Part time, adjunct teaching position. Rank and salary are dependent upon academic qualifications and experience.

DUTIES: CVCC is recruiting for an adjunct teaching position in Biology, day/evening, available to teach Spring 2018. Classes could be located on the Main Lynchburg Campus as well as off-site centers (Amherst, Appomattox, & Bedford), or online.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree with a minimum of 18 hours in Biology, Anatomy or Physiology required. Must possess good communication skills. Candidate should possess sufficient technology skills to work successfully with student information and instructional technology resources. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a culturally and educationally diverse student population.

PREFERRED: Experience in teaching Biology/Anatomy/Physiology very helpful. Some community college teaching experience helpful. Experience with technology in the classroom such as blackboard, on-line instruction, video conferencing or similar delivery methods helpful.

THE COLLEGE: Located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Central Virginia Community College is a comprehensive two-year institution of higher education. Approximately 4,000 students are enrolled in occupation / technical programs and university-parallel transfer programs. The college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the Associate degree.
