Statistical Analyst (Research Assistant 2) REPOSTED


Under the direction of the principal investigators, the Statistical Analyst is responsible for data management and statistical analyses for multiple research projects conducted in the UConn Center for mHealth and Social Media at the Institute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention and Policy (InCHIP). The desired applicant will have previous experience in behavioral research, developing and monitoring data entry systems, data cleaning, and experience with data analysis programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops data collection forms and databases.
  • Follows procedures to regularly monitor data quality.
  • Prepares data and performs statistical analyses.
  • Summarizes and interprets data.
  • Prepares narrative and statistical reports.
  • Attends staff meetings as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Master's degree relevant to duties and responsibilities (such as statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, psychology).
  2. Knowledge of research methods and procedures.
  3. Ability to use SPSS and SAS for data management and statistical analyses.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  5. Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with the general public, study personnel, and university staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Two years of experience in behavioral research, data management, statistical analyses or related area.
  2. Experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  3. Experience with REDCap.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

This is a full-time, 40 hours/week grant-funded position. The investigators have projects sponsored for the next several years. Salary will be commensurate with successful candidate's background and experience. Screening of applications will begin immediately.
