Job Description
The CRNA , Assistant Program Director, Nurse Anesthesia, Assistant/Associate Professor will teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels; participate in program administration, course and/or curriculum development; be involved with College and University committees and/or initiatives; liaise with hospital personnel; and as other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Earned doctorate in Nursing or related field from a regionally accredited institution/program.
Master's degree with a Nurse Anesthesia major from a regionally accredited institution and nationally accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program (or equivalent).
Five years of clinical experience in the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist ( CRNA ) role.
Current unrestricted license as an Advanced Practice Nurse in State of Florida or eligible for licensure, and current CRNA recertification.
Experience in nursing education and curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation.
ABD will be considered if degree is conferred by August 7, 2018. If successful candidate is ABD , appointment will be made at a Lecturer level on a fixed contract.

Preferred Qualifications
Earned Ph.D. or Ed.D.
Experience as a faculty member in a nursing education program at the College/University level with program administration and accreditation and virtual/distance teaching platform experience.
Evidence of established research agenda leading to professional presentations, research, and/or publications.
Service in professional organizations (e.g. membership and / or committee involvement).
Experience with high fidelity simulation in education.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong communication skills, and demonstrated computer skills using web-based applications, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience or commitment to the use of technology in distance learning & university teaching. Interest in collaborating both within and outside the University in the development and delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning. Must value continued scholarship and service to the school and university.

Essential Job Duties
Working under the direction of the Nurse Anesthesia Program Director to provide academic administrative support for the Nurse Anesthesia Program.
Teaches at the graduate level in the Nurse Anesthesia Program courses.
Teaches across other graduate nursing programs will be expected.
Conducts clinical teaching and simulation labs and advising.
Expectations for scholarship will be those identified for rank as described in FPED and College documents.
Service to School, College, University and professional community is expected in the form of committees, accreditation activities, etc.
