Overview

The Princeton University Plasma Physics Laboratory, a world-leading fusion energy research center under contract with the U. S. Department of Energy (DOE), is seeking applications for a full time fusion plasma physicist at a post-doctoral level to work in the area of energetic particles and MHD. The position will be funded for two years, with renewal for the second year based upon the availability of resources.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will participate in the development, verification and validation of reduced models for energetic ions. The candidate will develop a code which will be applied to experiments on NSTX-U and other tokamaks with neutral beam injection. It is preferred that the candidate has fundamental knowledge on fusion plasma physics and has experience in code development.
