Client Marketing Strategist - Office of Communications and Marketing

The Office of Communications and Marketing has overall responsibility for marketing and brand management, public relations and editorial services producing various print and web publications and communications for the university. The office optimizes the coordination of strategies and programs for these areas. The Marketing and Branding group reports up to the VP of Communications and Marketing and produces a wide range of print and digital marketing from event invitations to integrated marketing campaigns serving university clients and advancement priorities. The group oversees the university s visual identity; manages the university s main web, email and social channels; and directs marketing and lead-generation campaigns to build awareness of and enrollment in online, on-site and blended traditional and non-traditional education programs. The Strategic Client Services team within Marketing & Branding provides strategic marketing planning and execution to university clients for fundraising, enrollment, and reputation management.

The Client Marketing Strategist manages a portfolio of school-based and/or university-wide clients to help develop and deliver on marketing strategy, providing thought leadership and identifying optimal solutions to meet business goals and priorities.


Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:
  • B.A./B.S. in marketing, marketing communications, or related field.
  • 3-7 years client services experience in marketing communications, particularly in an agency setting or other fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with both print and digital marketing and communications channels.
  • Confident and engaging presenter who is comfortable in front of senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree, or equivalent, in a related field.
  • Higher education experience a plus, but not required.

Special Work Schedule Requirements:
Travel to professional conferences; evening/weekend work for extraordinary projects/deadlines (e.g., crisis communications, athletics championships, etc).
