Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Masters of Occupational Therapy Program

Elmhurst College invites applications for an Assistant Professor in the Masters of Occupational Therapy Program at Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois. This is a 12 month full time tenure track position with a start date of August 2018.

A core faculty member in the MOT program provides engaging clinically-focused learning opportunities for occupational therapy students through face-to-face and online course delivery. The Master's Program in Occupational Therapy enrolled its first cohort in 2016, and recently completed its onsite visit as part of the ACOTE initial accreditation process. The occupational therapy program is located on the Elmhurst College campus, and includes newly constructed laboratory and clinical teaching spaces. In addition, the program is building strategic relationships with the College's department of Nursing, including access to the 4,600-square-foot, state-of-the-art Elmhurst College Simulation Center located at nearby, newly constructed Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a research or post-professional clinical doctorate (e.g., PhD, EdD, ScD, OTD ), experience in occupational therapy practice for 5 years or more, current NBCOT certification, eligibility for Illinois licensure.

Preferred Qualifications
At least 3 years academic teaching experience is preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.
