Compensation Manager

Position Summary:
The Compensation Manager is an expert in the area of compensation programs analysis, design, and implementation for compensation programs across the university. Responsible for planning, design, implementation and maintenance of University compensation and rewards programs to ensure a balance of internal equity, market conditions and fiscal accountability. The Compensation Manager will play a key role in developing compensation components of a comprehensive talent management strategy that supports the attainment of the university's critical strategic goals. The Compensation Manager reports to the Associate Vice President for Human Resources Strategic Engagement and will work as part of a team of human resources professionals leading and participating in project management and implementation of various programs and initiatives that will support the university's growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
-Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field OR Bachelors degree with a significant level of related experience;
-Significant program management experience in compensation or related role;
-Experience in developing and implementing broad-based compensation programs including base and pay for performance, benchmarking/market data, and job evaluation;
-Experience in data analysis, reporting, and presentation of compensation data;
-Ability to align compensation programs with university strategy;
-Strong collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in developing and leading a compensation program within a higher education environment.
-Demonstrated skill in use of Microsoft Excel; HR systems, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and statistical analysis software tools.
-In depth knowledge of the compensation regulatory environment. PHR or SHRM -CP and/or Certified Compensation Professional ( CCP ).
