Description/Job Summary
Overview of position: Summary of position's responsibilities:
The Coordinator of Testing is responsible for the:
  1. Testing and assisting the Director of Admissions with the development of goals for college testing operations.
  2. Manages daily operations, including scheduling, proctoring, tracking data and maintaining computers.
  3. Hires, supervises, evaluates and trains part-time and full-time proctors.
  4. Develops relationships, maintains partnerships, serves as testing administrator and ensures compliance with external agencies, institutions and businesses in regards to testing.
  5. Works with ADA coordinator to provide special testing accommodations as needed.
  6. Maintains the testing center's website, online manuals and presence on the portal.
  7. Maintains currency with best practices in testing, national testing association, and state testing affinity group.
  8. Serves as liaison to faculty and administration in all areas of testing.
  9. Participates in college committees
  10. Includes nights and weekend work and travel to other test locations when necessary.

Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Assessment and Evaluation and/or Liberal Arts

Experience:
Two to four years of related work experience, a combination of education and experience may be substituted for the degree; course work or experience in computer technology, statistics and test measurements preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
  • Knowledge of basic statistical theory and testing administration practices
  • Knowledge of computer and office applications, particularly Microsoft Office and web content management.
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions and implement cost-effective measures
  • Ability to work independently, use sensible judgment and make decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with individuals with diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience administering, ACCUPLACER, TEAS, CLEP and GED tests
