Job Summary
The Department of World Languages and Literatures at Skidmore College invites applications for an instructor of Hindi in the Self-Instructed Language Program (SILP). Skidmore seeks to attract an academically and culturally diverse faculty, especially those who can contribute to the growing diversity and excellence of the community through their teaching. In the SILP program, students work independently and meet with the instructor for 2 hours per week. The instructor guides students to resources in addition to the textbook and helps them improve their command of grammar in all four skill sets: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The successful candidate will teach all levels of the Hindi language, especially basic and intermediate. We are particularly open to candidates from underrepresented groups who have experience with diverse student populations.

Minimum Qualifications
Teaching experience essential.
