Job Description
As the Nursing, Assistant/Associate Professor you will teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels, as applicable; be involved in course and/or curriculum development; research/scholarship; participate on School, College, University and Professional committees and/or initiatives.

Teaching assignments may be on the main campus or at off-campus sites within our region.

Required Qualifications
Doctorate degree in Nursing or related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation.
Graduate degree in nursing from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Five or more years of nursing practice experience.
Current unrestricted RN or ARNP licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida.
ABD will be considered if degree is conferred by August 7, 2018. If successful candidate is ABD , appointment will be made at a Lecturer level on a fixed contract.

Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation.
Experience in medical/surgical/adult, or community, or child clinical nursing or FNP .
Experience as a faculty member in a nursing education program at the College / University level
Evidence of established research agenda leading to professional presentations, research, and/or publications.
Service in professional organizations (e.g. membership and / or committee involvement).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong communication skills.
Strong computer skills using web-based applications and Microsoft Office.
Experience or commitment to the use of technology in distance learning & university teaching. Interest in collaborating both within and outside the University in the development and delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning. Must value continued scholarship and service to the school and university.

Essential Job Duties
Teaches in the BSN and MSN and DNP Programs as appropriate to qualifications and experience.
Participates in clinical teaching, simulation and other labs, and advising.
Expectations for scholarship will be those identified for rank as described in FPED and College documents.
Service to School, College, University and professional community is expected in the form of committees, accreditation activities, etc.

Appointment will be made at a faculty rank commensurate with the candidate's experience on a 12-month multi-year appointment basis available August 2018.
