Programmer Analyst/BI

Percent of Time/Week:100% Service Schedule:Calendar Year

Position Description:

Develops computer code from general specifications into language appropriate to the assignment; creates application programs of moderate to somewhat complex difficulty to meet user needs for central and/or distributed processes; develops and uses sample input data to test accuracy of program(s); consults with users or senior staff to define subsystem or program requirements; identifies programming and output needs; and reviews and analyzes system/program problems.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an IT related field required. An associate's degree in an IT related field plus at least three years of IT related experience may be substituted. December 2017 graduates will be considered.

Required Qualifications:

An understanding of administrative uses of computing services, working knowledge of SQL, knowledge or exposure to a relational DBMS, and course work or practical experience with modern programming languages required. Student experience will be considered.

Desirable Qualifications:

At least one year experience with Oracle DBMS, Oracle PL/SQL, and OBIEE reporting experience preferred. Course work or practical experience with date warehouse modeling and construction also preferred.
