Associate Director, Digital Engagement & Marketing

The division of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) includes four major areas: Development, Advancement Services, Alumni Relations, and the Career Development Center. As a part of DAR, the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) seeks to create significant relationships between Bucknell and its alumni community to help secure resources necessary for the University to fulfill its educational mission. The Associate Director leads the Digital Engagement Program in Alumni Relations. The mission of the Digital Engagement Program is to connect and grow the number of interactions between Bucknellians and the University in the digital world to foster pride, inform alumni about Bucknell today, and provide unique value to alumni today.

This position reports to the Executive Director, Alumni Relations, with a dotted line to the Director, Advancement Marketing Research & Strategy.

All DAR staff members are expected to contribute to Bucknell's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Job Duties:
Office of Alumni Relations Management Team
* As a member of the Office of Alumni Relations Team, and in partnership with the Executive Director, Alumni Relations, and Director, Advancement Marketing Research & Strategy, the Associate Director assists in the development of strategic goals and priorities for the OAR.
* Represents OAR on various DAR and campus committees.
* Ensures that digital engagement programming is contributing to advancing the goals of OAR and DAR.

Strategic Direction and Program Implementation
* Leads strategic direction and vision for online engagement programs and their relation to other DAR departments across print and digital communication
* Creates innovative programming that inspires alumni engagement with Bucknell in social media and digital programming.
* Develops OAR marketing strategy across digital and print and supports AR team needs across programs.
* Creates opportunities to expand volunteer engagement in OAR's online programs.
* Aligns budgetary allocations to grow online engagement.

Management & Evaluation
* Serves as liaison to all technology vendors for OAR.
* Evaluates effectiveness of online engagement through data driven reporting.
* Serves as liaison to the Alumni Board Communication Committee.

Staff Management
* Management of up to 30% of an Alumni Relations Assistant Director's time who helps with online programs.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree
* Three years of experience in marketing, digital spaces, or technology
* Demonstrates commitment to higher education and philanthropy
* Demonstrates a track record of strategic programming in online spaces
* Strong people skills and relationship building experience
* Mid-level or higher user skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Prior experience using a CRM
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage ongoing and overlapping projects
* Demonstrates ability to interact with alumni, parents, friends, and members of the Bucknell campus community in a highly professional manner
