Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of MBA Programs, and located in the National Capital Region ( NCR ), this position is responsible for meeting enrollment targets for the MBA programs offered by the Pamplin College of Business. The Associate Director serves as the primary recruiter for qualified and diverse graduate students for all formats of Virginia Tech's MBA Programs; Evening, Executive and Professional. Recruitment activities include, but are not limited to, hosting events, conducting online and in-person information sessions, identifying and pursuing untapped opportunities such as corporate visits and engaging alumni, and full implementation and utilization of a communications plan. Will work in close collaboration with the Director of Marketing, the Associate Directors of Academic Affairs, Career Services & Alumni Relations and other NCR graduate programs. This position requires frequent travel in Virginia and surrounding areas to engage with prospective students throughout the commonwealth.

Required Qualifications:
• Master's degree in business administration or related field required, or, training and work experience at a level that equates to an advanced degree;
• Proven record in higher education recruitment, marketing, admissions, and counseling;
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills;
• An ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with people with diverse backgrounds from constituent groups, such as potential students, human resource representatives, and corporate partners, etc.;
• Knowledge of student admissions models and technology systems, media advertising, media procurement, and social media desired;
• Must demonstrate an ability to set and manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously;
• Work cooperatively and collaboratively as a team member with faculty, staff, and administrators to produce creative solutions in this hands-on, results-oriented position;
• Have excellent communication and organizational skills;
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office; specifically, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems ( CRM ), online application systems and recruiting, and admissions databases;
• Admissions experience preferably in higher education.
