Multimedia Coordinator


Brief Summary:

The Athletics Department at Marist College invites applications for the 12-month, part-time position of Multimedia Coordinator. The Multimedia Coordinator works under the direction of the Director of Athletic Multimedia in preparing video packages for the Athletics Department's website and LED video boards. Responsible for generating social media content. Assist administrative staff with special projects. Other duties as assigned by supervisor and administrative staff. Marist College is a Division I program in the Metro Atlantic athletic conference.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce, shoot and edit video content (interviews, highlight packages, commercials, etc.) for the Athletics website, social media and the video boards in the McCann Arena.
  • Assist with game day video operations, including directing in-house video board production and multi-camera video streams.
  • Oversee scheduling, set-up and execution of video and audio streaming for all athletic teams and events.
  • Oversee all aspects of video board presentation including fan engagement, sponsor fulfillment, statistics, and special presentations.
  • Serve as liaison to the conference office for video streaming and highlights.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field, communications field or equivalent experience. Experience with all forms of digital media including website, social media, video and mobile required. Ability to produce video content (interviews, highlight packages, commercials) for the Athletics website and video board. Ability to communicate effectively with coaches, media and staff; knowledge of, and preferably experience with Division I Athletic departments. Experience with editing software, preferably Avid. Experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, StatCrew, and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of web page maintenance, video streaming, graphic design, maintaining statistics, photography and layout methods. Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED required prior to completion of probation period. Valid driver's license with no serious convictions required. Lifting requirements: Medium work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
