The Office of Undergraduate Admissions receives and processes more than 21,000 applications yearly for students applying as first year students as well as transfers. Additionally, more than 50,000 people visit yearly to learn more about the university and tour the campus. The high volume of applicants and visitors require effective customer service and efficient processing systems.
The Admissions Assistant position will support 2-4 admissions officers in their travel planning and project planning support. Additionally, there is responsibility for processing a segment of the applicant pool that includes downloading, indexing, scanning paper documents and preparing the file for the appropriate reader bin.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; knowledge of and comfort with data entry protocols.
- Culturally sensitive and a willingness to work with a diverse group of staff, students, guidance counselors.
Special Work Schedule Requirements:
40 weeks per year.
