Educational Leadership, Tenure-Track Faculty

MTSU's Womack Education Leadership Department is seeking qualified applicants for two tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant/associate professor rank (#115100, 115190). Start date for both positions is August 1, 2018.

Teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses and/or supervise student teachers in the College of Education. Assignments may include teaching in off-campus, weekend, cohort graduate programs, as well as supervising Residency I & II students in the local school systems.

May teach curriculum and instruction or administration and supervision courses at the graduate level. May also teach undergraduate or graduate courses in secondary education teacher preparation program. Successful candidates will also advise students and maintain an active professional (research and publication) record in the field of education.

Responsibilities may also include other teaching assignments in the Ed.D., Ph.D. and/or cohorts; based on the qualifications of the faculty and needs of the department, and college doctoral programs. Teaching assignments may include courses that meet outside of normal business hours (some midweek and/or Friday evenings & weekends). Some courses meet off campus and may require travel. (All program related travel is reimbursed per MTSU Travel Policies.)

Excellence in teaching and mentoring of students is essential.

Required Education
Doctorate in Educational Administration, Educational Leadership or Curriculum and Instruction or closely related field required by August 1, 2018.

Required Related Experience
At least 5 years K-12 teaching/administrative experience. Evidence of effective teaching in K-12 and/or higher education.

Required License/Registration/Certification
Other Desirable
Candidates with a record of excellence in teaching in higher education will receive special consideration.
