Religious Studies, Tenure-Track Faculty

Middle Tennessee State University, Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position (#018122) at the rank of assistant/associate professor in Religious Studies. Start date for this position is August 1, 2018.

The BA/BS in Religious Studies at MTSU is a new and growing program seeking applicants who are teacher-scholars with pedagogical competency in theory and method in Religious Studies.

The successful candidate must show evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching, the ability to contribute to curricular development, the readiness to engage in substantial program support, and the promise of scholarly contributions to the field of religion.

Required Education
PhD in Religious Studies (or a cognate field, demonstrating a primary disciplinary identity in religious studies) by time of appointment.

Other Desirable
Special consideration may be given to applicants whose areas of specialization lie outside of the geography of North America and the traditions of Christianity.
