Rhetoric - Assistant Professor of English

Assistant Professor in English with scholarly expertise in historical rhetoric(s). Qualified candidates will bring teaching experience and an active research agenda. The successful applicant will teach on-campus and distance courses and supervise students at the undergraduate, MA and PhD levels, with specific contributions expected to the scholarly development of the students in our growing PhD program.

Minimum Qualifications - knowledge, skills, and abilities
Scholarly expertise in Rhetorical Studies. Evidence of successful college/university teaching; evidence of active research agenda. Ability to teach online or hybrid courses.

Minimum Qualifications - Education or training
Ph.D. in English/Rhetoric or closely related field by August 15, 2018

Minimum Qualifications - Special licenses, registration or certification

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with secondary experience in gender studies, archival research, community rhetorics, and/or digital rhetoric.
