Description/Job Summary
Overview of position:
  1. Reviews, maintains, and processes fiscal/accounting records and transactions related to student accounting records, tuition receivable, and accounts receivable
  2. Posts accounts receivable updates/adjustments using correct transcodes and amounts as indicated by paperwork presented by the student and/or staff
  3. Posts wire payments received by CCU, Heartland, or any 3rd party
  4. Researches and posts faxed documents daily as CCU payment receipts, undeliverable refund checks, or 3rd party letter of authorization
  5. Posts transcript requests and admission waivers
  6. Answers the telephones when students call in regards to questions about their student accounts. Provides information to faculty, staff, students, and individuals/organizations outside of the College
  7. Backs up cashier and performs cash counts as needed
  8. Backs up accounts receivable clerk with maintaining student 3rd party bookstore accounts
Employees in this classification received supervision from the Assistant Bursar.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of (2) year's or related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • (3) years' experience preferred
  • Experience in an institution of Higher Education
