Senior Coordinator of Special Recruitment Initiatives

Title Position Reports To: Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management
JOB SUMMARY:
Enhance the recruitment program for high school seniors and community college students through campus visits, competitions, school visitations, and school presentations. Work with academic departments to recruit potential students to various priority programs aligned with the University's strategic plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Develop strong, collegial relationships between faculty of high school, community colleges and the University staff, including hosting meetings and events for high school principals, assistant principals, college advisors, transfer advisors, and other key constituent groups.
Cultivate inquiries, applications, and enrollment via in-person recruitment, tele-counseling, social media, and email.
Increase recruitment and enrollment for special programs such as Honors College, Levermore Global Scholars Program, and Learning Resource Program.
Target recruitment and enrollment in key areas of growth as identified by the University's strategic plan and University Admissions' leadership.
Lead strategic-relationship building efforts with key influencer populations.
Design on-campus events for key influencers with relevant directors and team members.
Represent the University at relevant College Board events and other influencer events as needed.
Represent the University at high school and community college visitations and college fairs as assigned.
Interview prospective students and meet with families as needed.
Evaluate completed first year and transfer applications for decision.
Participate in on-campus recruitment events such as open houses and information sessions.
Assist with various admissions tasks as directed by the Office of University Admissions.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of educational systems.
Requires excellent interpersonal skills.
Requires familiarity with Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRMs); preferably Technolutions Slate.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have strong networking abilities.
Must be organized and pay attention to detail.
Must be able to prioritize workload according to volume, urgency, etc.
Must be able to work long hours and weekends.
Requires computer knowledge including advanced use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to drive or travel to locations in recruiting area.
Ability to lift boxes of recruitment materials ranging up to 25 lbs.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred; 2-4+ years related recruitment experience. Prior experience in educational setting of high schools or community colleges welcome.
