Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will actively promote a research agenda for the Center; will stimulate and encourage other Loyola faculty to pursue multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary research initiatives at the intersection of women, leadership and social justice; will collaborate with other Gannon staff to mentor Gannon Scholars in appropriate undergraduate research initiatives, and will teach one undergraduate course each semester. The Farrell Chair will be expected to develop an active research agenda for the Gannon Center which will focus on addressing ways in which women leaders in every sector of society can address contemporary and complex social justice issues. In collaboration with the Center Director, the Farrell Chair will position Loyola and the Gannon Center as leaders in scholarship, and develop new perspectives on scholarship that promote the University mission and Strategic Plan 2020.

Qualifications
Successful candidates for the position:
~have a Ph.D.
~ have a record or clear potential of distinguished scholarship
~ have experience with generating external funding for research
~ demonstrate familiarity with strategies to engage other faculty in productive research
~ demonstrate familiarity with mentoring students in undergraduate research
~enjoy collaborative engagements within the Gannon Center and the University

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
This position is open to current Loyola University Chicago tenure-track faculty in all disciplines. Successful candidates for the position:
