Admissions Representative

The Admissions Office at Bucknell University has an Admissions Representative opening. The Admissions Representative is a member of the staff of the Office of Admissions and contributes to the overall recruitment efforts at Bucknell University. This full-time, temporary position (end date of June 1, 2018) requires extensive travel and non-standard hours. Responsibilities include representing Bucknell to a wide and diverse audience on and off campus, traveling several weeks each year, corresponding with prospective students and their families, and participating in the review and selection of Bucknell applicants. The Admissions Representative reports to an Associate Dean of Admissions, and works in collaboration with the Dean of Admissions and other Admissions team members.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to independently travel out-of-state for several weeks throughout the contract period
• Commitment to working flexible hours, nights, and weekends as needed to meet office goals
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal and computer skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, work with sensitive issues and exercise good judgment under pressure
• Demonstrated commitment to actively participating in a community that celebrates diversity and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications:
• One to two years of related professional or student-work experience is preferred.
• Valid passport to conduct international travel is desirable
• Ability to speak a second language is a plus

Physical Demands:
• Must be able to independently transport boxes of recruitment material (typically weighing up to 50 pounds).
• Must be able to travel independently by automobile and public transportation.
