Director of Marketing, Pamplin Extended Campus Programs

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Pamplin Graduate Programs, the Director of Marketing will develop, recommend, and implement marketing campaigns for Pamplin graduate programs located in Northern Virginia, including but not limited to:
Evening MBA (in-person; Falls Church location)
Executive MBA (in-person; Arlington location)
Professional MBA (in-person; Richmond/Roanoke locations)
Master of Information Technology (online, students nationwide)
Executive PhD. (in-person; Falls Church based)
MSBA in Hospitality Management (in-person; Falls Church based).
The Director of Marketing is charged with developing and implementing marketing strategies to support program directors with enrollment targets. To do this, he/she will serve as both a strategic advisor and take the lead on implementing marketing channel strategies for each program. The Director will also conduct market research and craft overall brand strategies for Pamplin Graduate programs consistent with Pamplin College of Business and Virginia Tech brand strategies.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing or related field
Progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
Demonstrated leadership, organization and management competencies
Excellent communications skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and constituencies
Demonstrated success in creating and managing a work climate of collaboration, collegiality and teamwork
Strong time management skills, with ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently
Knowledge of effective use of social media

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in public relations, communications, marketing or related field
Experience with marketing academic programs for working professionals
Agency experience or experience within a setting that requires working with internal client groups
Higher education experience
Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment with an "all hands on deck" culture
