Program Director, Medaille College at Albion Correctional Facility

Medaille College seeks a full-time Program Director for the Medaille College at Albion Program. As part of the CJII grant, the Program Director employed by Medaille College will spend approximately thirty hours per week at the Albion Correctional Facility. This time will be spent supervising, teaching, as well as mentoring and tutoring students in the study hall to help them succeed. The Program Director will also teach six classes per year and be continually supported by academic professionals at the Buffalo campus.

The Program Director will be an experienced higher education professional with instructional experience, minimally with a master's degree, preferably in Student Personnel Administration. The Program Director will help students succeed in this program and will work with each student on an individual basis in order to assess their progress in the program. The Program Director will organize and supervise courses and workshops taught by adjunct faculty to the enrolled student population on a variety of topics that are relevant to student success and continuation. The workshops include, but are not limited to, financing higher education, time management, test-taking skills, computer skills, remedial writing, and basic algebra.
