IT Asset Coordinator /Hourly

Title Position Reports To: Office Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
The hourly IT Asset Coordinator is expected to enhance and contribute to the strategic goals of the Office of Information Technology. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the IT equipment inventory database, ensuring its accuracy while working closely with the Office of Business Affairs in identifying and locating IT equipment. The individual will create regular reports to analyze the inventory database for budget allocation and planning. Furthermore, this individual will provide managerial oversight of the IT Student Inventory Team.

RESPONSIBILTIES & DUTIES:
Serve as the primary contact for issues related to IT inventory.
Partner with the IT Procurement Administrator to tag all IT equipment.
Prepare and produce inventory reports, including budget related PC replacement projections.
Updates inventory database based on information provided in work order tickets, spreadsheets, and emails.
Provides assistance to customers by telephone or in person to university personnel during allocation, replacement and repair of equipment.
Oversees the preparation of all computer/equipment sales and donations.
Mentor and oversee the IT Inventory Student staff: delegate workload, assist with preparation of semester schedules, approve timecards, etc.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Office Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and accurately.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Access, Word and Excel) and Google Apps.
Good understanding of computer technologies and university policies and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize workload and pay attention to detail.
Availability: 20 hrs. /week.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift boxes, computers, etc.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum one year purchasing and/or inventory experience a plus.
