Position Description:

University of Northern Iowa's Finance Department seeks applicants for a tenure-track position as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance, beginning August 2018. The successful candidate's primary teaching responsibilities will be courses in finance for undergraduate finance, real estate, and other business majors. Applicants who are seeking a balance in teaching and research responsibilities will find a collegial work environment and a faculty actively engaged and committed to the growth and continuous improvement of the Finance program. Rank dependent on qualifications and experience.

Education Requirements:

Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Finance from a nationally or internationally-recognized doctoral program required. ABDs are welcome to apply with an expected degree completion date by August 1, 2018.

Required Qualifications:

Additional requirements include a record of excellence in teaching, a demonstrated ability to produce publishable research in finance-related journals, and demonstrated organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with CFA or CFP credentials or demonstrated experience with CFA or CFP programs. Preferred requirements in a candidate also include evidence of ability to create an engaged and applied classroom environment. and evidence of ability to advance the academic, professional and personal success of students.
