Assistant Professor, Clinical / Sport Biomechanics

Full/Part Time Status:Full Time Service Schedule:Academic Year

Position Description:

The Division of Physical Education in the School of Kinesiology, Allied Health and Human Services at the University of Northern Iowa is seeking an Assistant Professor in clinical and/or sport biomechanics. This position involves teaching biomechanics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, scholarship, professional service, advising students, and supervision of undergraduate and master thesis/research projects.

Education Requirements:

Ph.D. in biomechanics or related field required; ABD's will be considered.

Required Qualifications:

Additional requirements include ability to teach courses in biomechanics; ability to establish a research agenda, conduct research, and publish manuscripts; commitment to professional service; technical competency in three-dimensional analysis, force plate analysis as well as data management and analysis.

Desirable Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with a record of University teaching experience, scholarship, and professional service.
