Applications received subsequent to the second consideration date (June 30, 2017) may not be given full consideration. _________________________________________ Position is full-time calendar year, Spring 2017, renewable through 06-30-2018 for 2 year appointment, with possible funding renewal. Basic Function: Clinical teaching of family and adult-gerontological nurse practitioner graduate students in various clinical sites in Rhode Island Health Professional Shortage Areas. The clinical faculty, located at Thundermist Health Center and Providence Community Health Centers, will be responsible for delivering direct patient care to patients in their rules as primary health care providers/educators. Serve as preceptor of nurse practitioner students, in accordance with the agency terms and policies. Develop and implement educational programs and on-line learning modules to be used in the clinical education of graduate nurse practitioner students from the MS and DNP programs at the College of Nursing, in conjunction and collaboration with College of Nursing faculty. Qualifications: Required: 1. Earned master's or doctoral degree in Nursing 2. National Certification as an Adult-Gerontological ( AGNP ) or Family Nurse Practitioner ( FNP ) from AACN or AANP . 3. License to practice in RI as a Certified Nurse Practitioner in either AGNP or FNP population focus. 4. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as an AGNP or FNP . 5. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills. 6. Demonstrated proficiency in oral communication skills. 7. Willingness to work with NP program team on curriculum and online program content. 8. Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups/populations. Preferred: 1. Demonstrated experience in the clinical supervision and education of nurse practitioner students. 2. Demonstrated experience as a preceptor of nurse practitioner students. 3. Demonstrated experience with electronic medical record systems. 4. Demonstrated computer proficiency, including expertise in data entry and management. 5.
