ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ECONOMICS

The Turner College of Business at Columbus State University seeks qualified candidates for a tenure-track position in Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Primary teaching area is Economics. The ability to teach a combination of undergraduate principles of macroeconomics and microeconomics is required. Secondary teaching area in statistics, quantitative methods, or global economics is desired. This position will have a 3-3 teaching load.

The successful candidate will possess an earned doctorate in Economics from a fully accredited institution (ABDs near completion may be considered). Candidates must be willing to maintain an active research agenda. Evidence of teaching quality through references or other sources is required. Candidates must be committed to advising and mentoring students, quality teaching, and continued instructional and scholarly development.
