SECL VT Student Administrator for Student Budget Board

Position Summary:
The Student Administrator for Student Budget Board ( SBB ) will provide support to the Board, guidance for students, and support for SECL financial practices. The Student Administrator will attend SBB meetings on Monday evenings (4-7:00 pm), prepare the agenda for the meetings in tandem with the Chair, keep minutes during meetings, create action items following the meeting, conduct in-depth tracking and analysis of funding, field student organization questions, and meet regularly with the Associate Director and Chair. This position is crucial for the success of SBB and will provide a wonderful opportunity for the student administrator to expand their portfolio. Each year, SBB works to allocate approximately $1.3 million and the student administrator is a key piece of that work. The Student Administrator reports to the Associate Director for SECL , Engagement.

Required Qualifications:
A collaborative and self-directed individual working to pursue a degree at Virginia Tech. Above average communication and organizational skills are essential, as well as, a desire to work in a teamwork-focused environment with a positive attitude. Ability to attend SBB meetings on Monday evenings from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Drive/Team Drive. Completed at least 2 semesters worth of classes at Virginia Tech.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in and with student organizations, preferably in a leadership capacity. Knowledge of and experience with GobblerConnect. Academic focus or experience with in accounting, business, finance, public relations, or communications.
