The Registrar is responsible for providing leadership in developing and maintaining office and procedures to continuously improve services provided by the Registrar's Office, such as:
- Reviewing and responding to incoming mail and information requests, as well as telephone inquiries from students, faculty, administrators and other staff
- Re-evaluating student records based on major changes, additional transfer transcripts, grade changes, waivers, etc.
- Ensuring transcript requests are processed in a timely manner
- Reviewing records of potential graduates indicating outstanding course requirements; assisting in coordinating Commencement ceremonies
- Overseeing effective registration processes in collaboration with faculty and academic advisement
- Preparing statistical data for the preparation of the master schedule; publishes and distributes the master schedule of classes
- Preparing the academic calendar, office budget requests, and various enrollment reports

Education, qualifications and experience: Master Degree preferred, Bachelor Degree required. Three years related experience in a leadership position responsible for student academic records and policy and procedures associated with those records. Experience as a Registrar or Associate/Assistant Registrar is preferred. Significant experience in the adoption and use of systems to increase productivity and accountability, understanding of relational database and ERP systems, preferably Banner, including integration of self-service, learning management, and degree audit systems in a College setting. Have knowledge of IPEDS, National Student Clearinghouse, TAP, as well as Veteran certification and AACRAO guidelines. Record of growth in professional responsibility that demonstrates logical analysis, problem-solving, innovation, and leadership; ability to analyze data and use statistics for inferences and actionable decisions. Ability to move the office forward in the development of the profession including effective outreach to other College areas to promote student learning outcomes; a clear understanding of trends, policies, and regulations related to the academic records environment; ability to effectively manage the department budget.
The successful candidate must be an effective communicator with interpersonal and communication skills to interact verbally and in writing with diverse constituencies, including students, faculty, and administrators; to facilitate teamwork among staff and in committees; and to foster effective working relationships externally with schools, colleges, organizations, and agencies
