Job Summary:
The Office of Institutional Research (IR) at Skidmore College invites applications for a full-time (1 FTE), 12-month Coordinator for Institutional Research & Assessment. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research, the Coordinator provides support to the office and leads certain tasks. A diverse range of specific tasks is performed by the Coordinator including, but not limited to: leading the submission of publisher guidebook/external surveys (e.g., US News, Princeton Review, etc.) and the facts/reports on the IR website; leading the course evaluation process; assisting with assessment of student learning and institutional effectiveness initiatives; assisting with accreditation work (e.g., Middle States, etc.); assisting with internal ad hoc data/report requests; assisting with the administration of surveys to Skidmore students, alumni, faculty, etc.; maintaining the IR and Assessment websites; and providing general clerical assistance for budget, scheduling, etc.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate a concern for accuracy and detail; be able to learn processes and procedures quickly; communicate clearly, professionally, and consistently; prioritize and observe deadlines; possess strong organizational skills; manage several projects simultaneously; work with other divisions, departments, and office in a collegial manner; work independently; and respect and uphold confidentiality regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or extensive work experience in a higher education setting (3+ years). Strong technical skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, and Word) and Adobe Acrobat Pro at the intermediate to advanced level, manipulate spreadsheets, use email applications, manage databases, etc. Use of or interest in learning Cognos, Banner, Scantron ClassClimate, Tableau, and SPSS. Must demonstrate a concern for accuracy and detail, and must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, and be able to manage several projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks that are deadline-driven. Must show an ability to work independently and to use good judgment in decision-making. Must perform all tasks in a confidential manner. Is expected to work collaboratively in a team environment with a good deal of flexibility.
