Job Summary:

The Department of Management and Business at Skidmore College invites applications for a fulltime, tenure-track appointment in Accounting at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank beginning September 2018. Primary job responsibilities include excellence in teaching financial and managerial accounting courses at both the introductory and advanced levels and participation in service for the Department and the College. Additionally, ancillary skills in Finance and/or Management are desirable. We are particularly interested in candidates from under-represented backgrounds who can add to the diversity and excellence of our academic community. Primary responsibilities include providing excellence in teaching, advising students, engaging in high quality scholarly research, and participating in service for the Department and the College. The typical teaching load is five courses per academic year. All teaching is at the undergraduate level.

The interest and ability to develop and teach courses in Skidmore's interdisciplinary First Year Experience program is also highly desirable. Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Accounting (or ABD with expected completion by the end of 2018), evidence of teaching competence at the undergraduate level, and a promising research program.
